ติดตั้ง Ubuntu 13.10 หลังการติดตั้ง

วานนี้หลังจากติดตั้ง Ubuntu 13.10 แล้วทดลองใช้งาน
ผลการใช้งานอยู่ในระดับดีมาก แต่อย่างไรก็ตามยังมีข้อบกพร่องบางอย่างที่ต้องปรับ
สิ่งแรกคือ การเปลี่ยนแป้นพิมพ์ ไม่สามารถเปลี่ยนได้ แต่ก็แก้ไขแล้วตามขั้นตอนนี้

A confirmed bug in the Ubuntu 13.10 release prevents users from switching layouts using combinations like Alt+Shift, Caps Lock, Ctrl+Shift etc.
The bug affects many people, its importance is set to "High", so we may expect that an official fix will be released soon. You can subscribe to notifications about this bug on launchpad.net, so that you receive an email when it's done.
Currently, a patch aimed at resolving this issue is being tested. By now it seems to work for most users, though certain problems remain. To install the patch, use the following commands:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:attente/1218322
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

A system reboot was needed in my case to make it work.

Alternatively, you may consider using a combination containing a non-modifier key (a letter, digit, space): try, for instance, Alt+Shift+Space (this will work without installing any patches).

อีกอย่าง คือ การเล่นไฟล์ .flv ไม่สามารถเล่นได้ ซึ่งก็เป็นเรื่องปกติ เพราะลิขสิทธิ์ของไฟล์ ทำการติดตั้งเพคเกจเพิ่มเติมตามขั้นตอนนี้ ผ่านทางเทอร์มินอล
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras

Package สำหรับอ่านไฟล์ ISO

หลายครั้งที่บุคคลในหน่วยงานได้แบ่งปันไฟล์งานที่บรรจุไว้ในแผ่น CD-ROM แต่เพื่อความสะดวกบางครั้งในหน่วยงานก็จัดทำเป็นไฟล์ ISO หรือไฟล์ต้นแบบสำหรับการเขียนแผ่น CD อาจเป็นเพราะต้องการให้ไฟล์ที่อยู่ในแผ่น CD นั้นไม่ถูกแทรกโดยไฟล์อื่นๆ ที่อาจแทรกตัวเข้ามาโดยไม่เจตนา ซึ่งอาจเกิดขึ้นได้โดยไวรัสในขณะส่งต่อไฟล์ที่เขียนต่อๆกันไปโดยการตัดลอกลงในเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ก่อนการเขียน
การแจกจ่ายไฟล์ในรูปแบบของไฟล์ ISO นี่เองที่เป็นมูลเหตุของการเขียนเรื่องนี้..เนื่องจากต้องการใช้ไฟล์บางตัวในไฟล์ ISO โดยที่ไม่ต้องเขียนแผ่น CD-ROM
ขั้นตอนของการแก้ปัญหาในวันนี้คือใช้เพคเกจหรือซอฟต์แวร์สำหรับเปิดดูไฟล์ในไฟล์ ISO เพคเกจที่ใช้ในการทำงานวันนี้คือ Furius ISO Mount
การติดตั้ง Furius ISO Mount ทำได้ง่ายๆโดยการเลือกเพคเกจจากรายการที่มีให้ใน Synaptic Package Manager หรือใน Ubuntu Software Center
ขั้นตอนการใช้งานง่ายๆ ตามภาพต่อไปนี้

 

เปิดโปรแกรม Furius ISO Mount คลิก Browse เพื่อเลือกไฟล์ ISO ซึ่งมีหลายรูปแบบ เช่น .iso .nrg เป็นต้น

 เลือกไฟล์ แล้วคลิก Open

ต่อจากนั้นคลิก Mount
เมื่อคลิก Mount แล้วจะพบโฟลเดอร์ที่ Mount ไฟล์ที่ Home ของผู้ใช้

install Libreoffice

The open document foundation has released libreoffice 3.5 and if you are eager like me here’s how i installed it in my Ubuntu 11.10 machine!
—— go to www.libreoffice.org and download latest files, if you are using 64 bit then download the x64 files, 32 bit users will need to download the x86 files.
—–  first thing i would recommend is to uninstall libreoffice 3.4 from your system, since it might create more problems. To do this open synaptic package manager and search for libreoffice and mark the following packages for complete removal.
libreoffice-core
libreoffice-base and select apply it will remove all the libreoffice 3.4 programs and configuration files.
—– then extract the downloaded zip files and open the folder. You will find a folder named DEBS within that folder. Within the DEBS folder you will find libreoffice 3.5 packages. However you will find another folder with just package named “desktop integration”, move this package into the same directory as the DEBS.
—– then copy the folder named DEBS into the desktop, ( not a must but makes it easier) and open a terminal window and type the following commands
      cd ~/Desktop/DEBS
( this navigates you to the folder named DEBS in the desktop)
sudo dpkg -i *
( this will install all the packages in a batch)
That is it now you have the best and the latest libreoffice 3.5

การลบประวัติการใช้เพคเกจบน ubuntu 12.04

ปกติการใช้งานโปรแกรมบน Ubuuntu (ซึ่งเราจะเรียกว่าเพคเกจ) จะเข้าทางปุ่มลัดที่เราได้กำหนดไว้ทางด้านซ้ายของหน้าจอ หรือคลิกที่ Dash หรือปุ่มซ้ายบน ประวัติการใช้งานโปรแกรมหรือการเปิดไฟล์ต่างๆจะถูกเก็บไว้..ใครๆที่ชอบเปิดไฟล์พิลึกพิลั่นก็จะถูกเก็บไว้ที่นี่ อันอาจจะทำให้หน้าแตกได้ถ้าเกิดไปเปิดออกหน้าจอต่อหน้าคนจำนวนมากๆ ถ้าไม่ต้องการให้หน้าแตกก็ควรลบประวัติการเปิดใช้โปรแกรมหรือการเปิดไฟล์ต่างๆให้หมดก่อน..หรือบอกให้เครื่องไม่ต้องบันทึกอะไรไว้
ขั้นตอนในการลบประวัติทำตามขั้นตอนนี้
ติดตั้งโปรแกรม activity - log - manager โดยเปิดเทอร์มินอลแล้วพิมพ์คำสั่งตามนี้

sudo apt-get install activity-log-manager

หลังจากติดตั้งแล้วเปิดโปรแกรมขึ้นมากคลิกเลือกลบอะไรหรือตั้งไม่ให้เก็บประวัติก็ได้ตามรูป

แปลงไฟล์ flv เป็น mpg บน Ubuntu

เปิดเทอร์มินอลแล้วพิมพ์คำสั่ง
ffmpeg -i video.flv -ab 56 -ar 22050 -b 500 -s 320x240 video.mpg
ตัวแปรต่างๆมีความหมายดังนี้
-b bitrate: set the video bitrate in kbit/s (default = 200 kb/s)
-ab bitrate: set the audio bitrate in kbit/s (default = 64)
-ar sample rate: set the audio samplerate in Hz (default = 44100 Hz)
-s size: set frame size. The format is WxH (default 160x128 )

ติดตั้ง Picasa 3.0

วันนี้ทดลองติดตั้ง Picasa 3.0 เพื่อทดลองใช้งาน กะว่าถ้าใช้งานได้ดี จะถ่ายทอดให้ครูและนักเรียนได้ทดลองนำมาสร้างงานกัน
วิธีติดตั้งผ่านเทอร์มินอล
สำหรับ 32 บิต

wget http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/pool/non-free/p/picasa/picasa_3.0-current_i386.deb

sudo dpkg -i picasa_3.0-current_i386.deb

สำหรับ 64 บิต

wget http://dl.google.com/linux/deb/pool/non-free/p/picasa/picasa_3.0-current_amd64.deb

sudo dpkg -i picasa_3.0-current_amd64.deb

ทำตามนี้ก็ติดตั้งโปรแกรมได้สำเร็จ..แต่จะใช้งานได้ดีหรือไม่..อันนี้ต้องลอง
ลองมาแล้วหลายวัน..แต่ยังไม่ได้ตามต้องการ..อยากได้แบบเดียวกับ Photoscape.เลยต้องถอนการติดตั้ง
